Bryony Moss Illustration

We've spent this year expanding our greetings card range in store to cover all occassions, different styles and recipients. Tiny affordable artworks - who doesn't love a gorgeous card? One of our absolute favourite greetings card designers is illustrator Bryony Moss, often a stallholder at our markets for many years now and owner of long boi Albert who appears in many of her designs including prints, T-shirts, patches and of course cards. Bryony's cards are unashamedly joyful and we love them for it. We stock a few featuring the main hound himself, as well as other cheery cards suitable for any occasion - we are here for that versatility in a card!

We caught up with Bryony about her inspirations and how she started out in illustration... "I moved to London after I finished studying fashion design at Uni. Whilst working part time jobs and internships I would use any spare time to draw, take commissions and make greetings cards. It grew very slowly over a long time, I just knew that I was happiest when I was drawing."

Bryony is now a firm South East Londoner and handprints most of her artworks at the fantastic Sonsoles Studio in our home town of Peckham. She's got small biz life in her very bones, often collaborating with other makers (lovely Gemma from Papercutts, another familiar face at our markets, brings Bryony's embroidered patch designs to life) and you can even buy one of Bryony's prints as a jigsaw made with lush small brand and artist collab champ Piece & Quiet

As well as her beloved Albert and his pals, much of Bryony's work features activities she's passionate about in her daily life, like biking, hiking and wild swimming. Her instagram is full of her daily drawings and comics of her adventures in the wild; butterflies and flowers, seasides and waterfalls, grocery aisles and naptimes, the everyday and the special moments beautifully immortalised. Pop over and giver her a follow and let us know what else of Bryony's work you'd like to see in store with us soon?

Bryony's faves from Stall To Store? Katie Tinkler's Birthday Bean Card (so popular it's currently sold out - restocking soon...), the Tous Les Jours pink pen from The Stationer, and Otter Candle Co's Peony Pomegranate candle.

Her favourite spot in South East London? "Beckenham Place Park lake - I swim here every week and it’s such a beautiful spot. I’d recommend having a coffee and the most delicious brioche in the courtyard at The Homestead Cafe"
