This ingenious Gravity Ruler by Unit Lab shows the relationship between mass and length. The ruler measures both mass in grams and length in centimetres.
How it works
In order to weigh an object, the ruler needs to be brought into balance. Start by placing an object on top of the hole at the end of the ruler. Bring the ruler into balance by moving it back and forth on the edge of the table. You can find the weight of the object at the pivot point.
